Pamporovo
Pamporovo is situated in the inner parts of the Rodopi mountains, 1,650 m above sea level at the foot of Snezhanka top.
The climate in the Pamporovo region is known for its mild winters, which has over a hundred sunny days. The resort is first among all the others with its sunny days. The average yearly temperature is 5.5 °С.
The most tourists in Pamporovo come in the winter months because the resort is suitable mainly for ski sports.
The tourist season starts in December and continues till the end of April. Because of its beautiful nature the region is visited by tourists in the summer months too.
Almost all of the ski tracks in the resort start from Snezhanka top; they are situated 1,926 m to 1,400m above sea level. The top is 1,926m high and is the highest summit in the region of the Pamporovo resort and the hill of Bukova mountain.
There is a television tower of the top, which is situated 2,082m above sea level. Its panorama café, 2,019 m above sea level, has a splendid view and in clear skies people could see the White Sea.
There is a lot of skiing or snowboarding equipment on rent in Pamporovo. The passes for the ski tracks are valid for all the tracks in the resort. There are ski and snowboard schools for the beginners which have very skilled teachers.
Snezhanka top is part of the hundred national tourist destinations of the Bulgarian tourist union.
The Narechen baths, which are famous for their mineral springs and health resorts, are situated on the way to Pamporovo. The Harechen springs hotel is situated in the area; it has room for 40 people and a restaurant, which offers dishes from the Rodopi region.
